Snorkeling in Thailand

Snorkeling tours suitable for kids

Kid friendly tours

Update Feb 2017

Not all tours are suitable for families with kids and not everyone wants to be on a boat with kids. So here are some kid friendly tours. You can choose to join them or avoid them.

Oktavia snorkeling and diving liveaboard is also very family friendly. It offers 25% off for kids up to 12 years old and infants up to 2 years old are free if they sleep in their parents bed. Oktavia can also provide a child minder on board if requested. The master cabins are big enough to take an extra blow up mattress.

Phi Phi Premium day trip and Samui to Koh Tao big boat day trip. We like these tours for families because the big fast cruiser style boats are a more comfortable way to travel with young kids. They have enclosed (AC) saloons, you can walk around, they have bathroom facilities, they are less noisy, wet and bumpy.

Kai Islands day trip or half day trip. The Kai islands are just 15 minutes in flat sea from Phuket so no worries about sea sickness. The islands offer shallow water with a sandy bottom where small fish swim around your legs. It’s an easy and fun way to introduce kids to snorkeling without any scary deep water or nasty coral to stand on.

John Grey Sea Canoe. One of the best tours of Phang Nga bay is free for kids up to 6 years old and half price for kids up to 12.
