Itinerary
Itinerary
Our private Phang Nga Bay tour has no fixed itinerary because we tailor it to your needs.
This is a sample itinerary:
0730 hrs: Collection from your Phuket hotel and transfer by air conditioned minivan to Phang Nga national park where your long tail boat is waiting for you. You will meet your English speaking guide here.
0845 hrs: Long tail boat ride through the mangroves and out into Phang Nga bay. Your first visit is James Bond Island to avoid the big tour boats that arrive later.
Once all photos are taken and you ready to move on. Your cruise through the bay is sublimely beautiful with lots of great photo opportunities. You will pass several Hongs (islands with rooms inside) and there is the option to go kayaking in the caves.
Next stop is Koh Panyee, the Muslim village on stilts. This can also be a “tourist trap” if you do it with the wrong tour. But behind the souvenir stands is a real community that has been there for over 200 years. You’ll see many smiling local faces, and the restaurant where we have lunch serves delicious food.
1215 hrs: Lunch time at Panyee Bungalow restaurant. The fresh fish is excellent and there’s lots of food for everyone.
1345 hrs: After lunch and a look around Koh Panyee (check out the floating football pitch) we head back to land for a visit to Wat Sawan Kuha. This is a famous cave temple with a large reclining Buddha statue inside the cave. It’s popular because of the monkeys all over the cliff face.
1430 hrs: Time to head back to Phuket. On the way you can add additional stops for sightseeing / view points. You should be back at your hotel between 1600-1700 hrs.

What to expect
If you want to avoid the crowds and maintain control of your itinerary you’ll love our Phang Nga private tour. We run our own tours of Phang Nga bay customized for small groups. We use experienced local guides. We charter a long tail boat exclusively for your group. It has a canopy for shade and life jackets for safety. We do everything we can on these tours to take you to places when the crowds are elsewhere.
We get excellent reviews for these tours and they are becoming very popular so we recommend booking early.
The tour itinerary is largely up to you but a typical day includes sightseeing at James Bond Island, Koh Panyee sea gypsy village, a kayaking excursion and Sawan Kuha monkey cave temple with the reclining Buddha and the hungry monkeys.
Lunch is at one of the less touristy restaurants at Koh Panyee away from the big boat tours. We can then add on any extras that you fancy and that time permits. May be a waterfall or a coffee at the 360 viewpoint cafe and water park that is so popular with locals.

Hi! My family will be visiting Phuket around 14-17th Feb 2018, and we (4 adults) are interested in booking a private tour with you. Perhaps for the 15th or 16th.
Your flexible itinerary sounds perfect. We’re interested in touring Phang Nga Bay, including James Bond Island, the mangrove rivers (on longtail boat, if possible?), Koh Panyee (fishing village on stilts) and Wat Suhan Kuha monkey temple. I think we would also like to kayak in the caves, and I would love to hike up to the Samet Nangshe viewpoint. 🙂
Could you tell me of your availability, and if there is an option for 10,000 baht or less for the 4 of us?
Thank you for you time and assistance,
Kat
Hi Kat,
The tour is available for your dates. The price for a group of 4 is 11,500 baht. Kayaking is an extra 300 baht per person, plus add 450 baht for the 4×4 to get you up to the viewpoint. National park fees are 300 baht per person.
You can book with just 30% deposit and pay the balance on the day.

If you would like to book please email info@snorkelingthailand.com and tell us the date you would like to go so we can confirm availability of our guides and longtail boat. Please also tell us you hotel(s) for pick up and return.
If you are mostly interested in kayaking and caves we have another private tour which is more kayaking focused, but it does not include Koh Panyee or Wat Suwan Kuha (monkey temple) which are in another area of the bay. Details here: http://snorkelingthailand.com/phang-nga-private-caves-tour/
