    What to expect

We have selected one Phuket fishing day trip to ensure that you have a great day out on the boat. There are dozens of fishing trip operators in Phuket, many of them are “one man band” semi legal operators with dirty unreliable boats that while being very cheap may not take you to the best fishing areas and may not even be safe.

The Wahoo 4 is a time proven (the operator has 15 years experience in Phuket), fully registered and insured day trip fishing vessel departing from Chalong Bay, Phuket. The captain and crew will take their guests to the best fishing spots. The boat operates to international game fishing standards. Game fish are released but you can keep any tuna that you catch for a BBQ in the evening.

The Wahoo 4 is equipped with a fighting chair and outriggers. The fishing equipment is top of the range. The boat has shelter from the sun and the rain. It also has a western style toilet and fresh water showers to rinse yourself off after a swim.

Guest numbers are limited to 8 per day so everyone gets as much time with rod and reel as possible.

What will you catch? While game fish like Marlin and Sail fish are caught sometimes they are not caught every day. The most commonly caught fish are Tuna and Trevally. The boat has a catch and release policy for game fish but if you hook a nice tuna you can take it away with you and have a local restaurant cook it up for dinner.
